Q. What are the washing instructions?

A. In loom state, your textile must be washed on hot (120°F/40°C) and dried on medium until damp to ensure the wrap/ring sling reaches its intended wearing length and to avoid thread shifting. We cut our loom state wraps generously to account for the shrinkage. Avoiding this can cause thread shifting or leave the wrap longer than intended and will void the warranty. Exceptions to this rule are non cotton fibers which must be washed on medium (90°F/32°C). Subsequent washes should be done using a cold water and gentle agitation cycle with low spin. Lay flat to dry. All washes: use detergents that are free from optical brighteners and are bleach free. Please do not wring out, and iron on medium heat. All in-house dyed items come prewashed and ready to wear.

All Emmeline Textiles should be washed separately, even after the first wash. 

Q. What is your recommended method to remove stains?

A. It will depend on the stain. Many stains can be removed by a spot treatment with blue dawn and a wash as described above.

Q. What is your return policy?              

A. We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase from Emmeline Textiles. We offer a full refund on wraps or ring slings that are unused and unworn for up to 2 weeks from the purchase date. Textiles that have been worn or washed are ineligible for return. Please inspect your new item carefully before washing. Return shipping is at the buyer's expense. Please contact us with questions. 

Q. What methods of payment do you accept?

A. We accept PayPal and all major credit/debit cards via shopify. Please create an account on our site prior to placing an order.

Q. How long does it take an order to ship?

A. We strive to get all orders out within 4 business days, but they can ship anywhere from 1-5 business days from the order date.

Q. What will mark a textile as "second quality"?

A. Seconds are any cosmetic blemish on a wrap that does not effect the function or safety of the item. This may include weaving or finishing flaws, such as pulls, skipped threads, slubs, large weaver's knots and other weaving blemishes. Stains are also considered second quality, including ones from manufacturing process. Prices are reduced in these instances to reflect the flaw.

Q. What are dye variances?                  

A. Hand dyeing is an art and every textile that is dyed in our shop is done in house. In this very precise artform, sometimes there will be wavy or uneven lines, spots of different saturation of color or other color variations such as random alternate color dye crystals. These are all normal and considered part of the beauty of the art.

Q. What sizing do you use for your wraps and ring slings?

A. Ring Slings are available in 2 sizes. Small/medium will range between 70" and 75" (short and long taper, average of 73") and Large/Extra Large will range from 80" to 85" (average of 83") after shrinkage during the washing process. We cut our wraps generously. Our approximate sizing is:

size 2 =2.6-2.7 meters

Size 3 =3.2-3.3 meters

Size 4 = 3.6-3.7 meters

Size 5 = 4.2-4.3 meters

Size 6 = 4.6-4.7 meters

Size 7 = 5.2-5.3 meters

Size 8 = 5.6-5.7 meters

This is just a general guideline and wraps can vary as much as .2 meters from this sizing chart. 

Q. When is the next release? How will it be priced?

A. Details are released on our website blog, facebook page, and chatter group.  

Q. Do you offer payment plans?

A. Yes! We are happy to announce a test run of a new payment plan option! Just enter code: PAYMENTPLAN at checkout. This will change your subtotal to a down payment of 10% of the retail price of any in-stock wrap or ring sling. Complete your checkout and a PayPal invoice will be emailed to you for the total price, minus the down payment. There is no additional fee for this option! All plans must be completed within 90 days.
